Governance
The Aurora project will be governed by a Decentralized Autonomous Organization—to be known as the AuroraDAO. Core team members will be employed through a traditional corporate entity, Aurora Labs.
Funding — The AuroraDAO will be funded through the Aurora protocol, and in turn will fund operations of Aurora Labs. It is intended that Aurora Labs will secure initial funding through a capital raise activity.
Bootstrapping governance — AuroraDAO will be seeded with a number of seats for initial governance, one of which will be held by Aurora Labs. Aurora Labs will in turn select the initial holders of the remaining seats, and will seek diversified representation, including core projects committed to building on Aurora, key community members, strategic partners and investors, among others. This committee will then define the path through which AuroraDAO becomes fully decentralized.
